What the heck is a uPDF?

Hi All,

I've heard from a lot of university presses that outsource ebook production that they use "uPDFs." Do you think this means universal PDF (which seems to be an imaginary format made up by codeMantra), or ultra PDF? Does anyone have any experience with this format -- what its features are, if it requires a special production process that differs from a simple PDF export from InDesign?

Was going to ignore this, but decided to Google this....
First hit was the wiki page for the Ugandan People's Defense Force
Later down my favorite non match hit was for Upper Potomac Dulcimer Fest

If this were printing I would say Universal Printer Description Format, but you said e, so it is likely you are correct and this is just a marketing label made up by somebody, to describe a PDF/A based PDF document.
