I am trying to decide if I should invest in a tablet or get an e-reader. I am not sure if Kindle or Kobo is the right one for me. I was told the Kobo's screen isn't very bright. jsayers |

Good to have your company, J. Why not browse the 'Which One Should I Buy?' sub-forum here to help in your choice? Independent reviews are vital. And you need to choose the reader that's EXACTLY right for you or you'll be disappointed. It's not as though, these days, choice is limited. Good luck and best wishes. Neil

What neil said however I will tell you here what others have told me: If you forsee having a very big electronic book library - get kindle it has a search function making it easy to find books; If you want to be able to read any format of electronic book you find -get a jet book lite If you want simplicity of operation - get a kobo , they have one button If you want muli-lingual on reader dictionaries - get a Sony PRS If you want to read foreign (non-english) book - get a bookeen, they excell at this If you want cheap reader - get a Aluratek Libra Pro If you want cheaper - download free electronic book reader software for smart phones such as blackberry, android phones and iphone, the readers here are free. If you want great vivid colors and easy to use touch screen - then get a nook color. So it really depends on what you want. There is no reader that is the best for everyone rather each reader excells at something different and the one that is best for you depends on what feature or features you want the most. |
