will Kindle 3G work in Egypt?

I live in Egypt and want to buy kindle 3G but I'm not sure if kindle has a network in Egypt (the coverage maps says yes, but the "select your country" option says no).

If I buy a kindle with a U.S billing address, international credit card, and U.S. IP address, will I be able to use 3G in Egypt as a U.S. citizen who travels to Cairo (can U.S. customers do that). I only need 3G for browsing. If this is not possible then I'd better save the extra $50 of 3G kindle and get the wi-fi only.

Kindle DX 3g

Just back from Egypt and my Kindle DX worked fine with the 3G. Was worried that I'd be picking up charges against my Amazon-account but nothing has been charged.

Slightly slow as a web-browser but very useful compared to the £5 per MB my phone provider charges for 3G roaming.
