Find Corrupted Books?

Hi all, I just exported my calibre library for backup, and when I imported the newly exported library to check it, it failed to complete the import because of corrupted books. I'm not surprised there are corrupted books because my PC bit the dust due to RAM failure, which affected my several previous backup attempts. I couldn't export or copy/paste large files to external drives or other storage, and the PC failed as I was preparing to break my library into smaller sections.

The import stops when corrupted book(s) are found, and gives me an error message identifying books and corrupted formats, such as:

"calibre, version 9.13.0
ERROR: Failed: Failed to import data. Click "Show details" for more information.

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "calibre\gui2\dialogs\exim.py", line 162, in run_action
File "calibre\utils\exim.py", line 493, in import_data
File "calibre\db\cache.py", line 4300, in import_library
ValueError: Corrupted files:
PDF format for Rescue the earth!: conversations with the green crusader"

That is a handy feature. I removed the corrupted book format from my library. But calibre restarts when I acknowledge the error message. So I then re-exported the library, re-imported it, and calibre found another corrupted book and halted the import. I have a large library and no clue how many books may be corrupted.

Is there a way to identify corrupted book formats without repeatedly exporting and importing my library? Thanks!

Perhaps this will help you. The plugin generates a report that you can export to a text file to see which files are involved.
