Need link for KUAL v2.6 for Kindle 4 (FW 4.1.4) - Troubleshooting Journey
Hello everyone,
I'm hoping someone could provide a link for KUAL v2.6. I've been on a long troubleshooting journey with my Kindle 4 (FW 4.1.4) and all signs point to this specific version as the solution. Here is a summary of what I have done so far. All files were downloaded from the main Snapshots thread (https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...php?t=225030): Installed the jailbreak (kindle-k4-jailbreak-1.8.N). The installation was successful, and I have confirmed this by installing the ScreenSavers hack, which works perfectly. Installed the MKK (kindle-mkk-20141129-r18833). Tried to launch the latest KUAL (KUAL-v2.7.37). This gave me the "permissions for this content have expired" error. Realizing the keys were old, I then installed the latest MKK/DevCerts (from the https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh....php?p=4506164). After installing the new keys, the "permissions expired" error went away, but now trying to launch KUAL gives me a new error: "A RuntimeException occurred...". I've been working through this with an AI assistant. We analyzed the system logs using the ;dumpMessages command, which confirmed that the new MKK is installed correctly, but the latest KUAL version is crashing due to a Java incompatibility with my old firmware (the logs show a NoClassDefFoundError). Based on all this evidence, the final recommendation is that I need to use an older, compatible version of KUAL. The consensus seems to be that v2.6 is the correct one for my device. My problem is that I can't find a working download link for v2.6. Could someone please be so kind as to share the KUAL-v2.6.zip file or point me to a working link? Thank you so much for your time and for all your amazing work! |

You should be able to fix it just by running the uninstall.bin file from the KUAL package. |

You were absolutely right. That was exactly the problem. KUAL is working perfectly now!
