Indexing a virtual library
I want to perform a full text search in a subset of my calibre library. I am able to create a virtual library to isolate the ebooks I wish to search.
What happens if I try to index this virtual library? Can I later delete the index when it is not longer needed?

Indexing indexes all books in a library it is not possible to restrict it to a virtual library. And yes you can delete the index once you are done with it.

Thank you for your clear answer
What I'll do is create a new (non-virtual) library, copy the relevant books there, index it, perform the search and delete it after use ![]()
