Boox Go 6 - Loving it!

Going on three weeks now with my Onyx Boox Go 6.

I'm loving it!!! Using Readera and syncing to my tablets and phone.

Perfect size and weight for one handed reading but maybe a bit too sensitive as I keep turning pages by accident.

Cool, I'm seriously thinking about getting the Boox Go 7 B&W version.

Have you tried using their reading app? Would you consider it and see how it compares to the Readera app.

I use Readera on my phone and tablet. I like it since it's pretty straight forward and the only ad show up when update or go back to open a new book.

I'm quite a fan of the Go6.
The Carta 1300's contrast is a part of that.
I use a clicker for page turning so screen sensitivity is not an issue.

I've used it a bit and it works fine. Easy to use... being android with access to the play store you can install whatever reading app you like.

...One thing I should add is that the battery life is not even close to that of a Kindle Paperwhite.... being Android it used more processor/battery and probably would last me at most a week, probably less...that's with a few hours of reading a day...

I'm not sure how you're using yours.
My WiFi is always off, my Bluetooth is always on.
I leave the screen light at 30% all the time so I don't have to bother with it.
The number of times I have had a battery <20% I can count on one hand.
I don't have a fixed charging spot, only when I'm connected to the PC.
Your device could be "phoning home" too much.
Try with WiFi off.

The screen light does use a lot of battery!
and I do keep the wifi on for syncing my reading, notes, books, etc.
bluetooth is off. I do notice a significant difference if the backlight is on or off.

Well, it must be my previous experience in a radioactive field.
I can't say that the task of keeping portable devices charged has ever taken me more than 0.1% of my CPU power.

I have measured it in the past. Keeping the front light on at the level I do is just a couple of milliamperes. Heavy processing is more than 100 mA.

@cfrizz I just saw this, I guess there's a eBoox app. I have not tried it but if you're interested:

eBoox is a good book reader for Android with a high rating in the Play Store. It supports many formats, like fb2, epub, pdf, and more, and offers easy access to your books from your phone, SD card, cloud, or browser without any ads. eBoox has a good, neat, and clean UI, which makes comfortable reading possible. Other features include instant page loading and file syncing across Android devices. There’s also the facility to explore online book directories to discover new reads effortlessly. The only thing that this one’s missing is an option for local backup and an in-built dictionary. We do hope the developers add these features, but even without them, it’s a great app.
