PW KUAL (and some other Apps) not working

Hello!

I used to be active on this forum a long time back!
Recently when I tried to run KUAL on my jailbroken Kindle Paperwhite (the 1st 2013 model), I got this message:
--------------------
Error
-------
The permissions to open this item have expired.
Please contact the developer.
--------------------

Most of the other apps also give the same message.
Some of the original Amazon released games do work though.
I am also able to access the Kterm console using the shortcut in the search bar.

Has anybody else faced this issue?
Any fix or workaround?
I remember there was a way to run apps from the terminal, but need to search for that solution!

Searched through the forum and found that this issue has been faced by others.
Adopted the quick fix of setting the date back.
At least till I understand the other solutions (keystore, etc.)!
