Importing content

I apologize. I realize this is simplicity itself to you. However, I can't figure it out. I'm 61. Not particularly computer literate. And I can't find the info in the Calibre users manual. I've watched lots of YouTube videos. I downloaded the DeDrm v10.0.9 and the KFX input plugins. I'm sure there will be more issues. But right now, I can't figure out how to get my Amazon Kindle ebooks into Calibre. I use a Mac. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Do you have an eink Kindle (not a Fire)? If not, then it's no longer really possible to do on a Mac. Amazon has been actively blocking various methods of deDRMing Kindle books and most of the older methods no longer work. The simplest way is to use an eink Kindle, and for Mac users it's basically the only way now.

Thanks @Sirtel. I was beginning to come to that conclusion with my lack of progress. I'd done it successfully in years gone by...but nothing was working now. I will look into the eink Kindle. Maybe it will be worth it to buy it and download EVERYTHING before they change that.

How do I do it using and eink Kindle?

Thank you @Sirtel. How do I use an eink Kindle in this process?

Thank you...what model eink Kindle's are able to do this? I'm totally unfamiliar with that platform. I did a search and couldn't find a specific 'eink' model.

At the moment, any eink Kindle would work (well, not the earliest models Kindle 1, Kindle 2 and Kindle DX). Amazon might disable the eink Kindle method at any time, of course, there's no guarantee it will continue to work.
