Updating Custom Field From CSV File
Hi
I share my Calibre Library with family abroad by backing up my Library and restoring it to their laptop when we/they visit every couple of years. Shortly before the last share I'd added a custom field "Done" which I use to note new books I've added and the cover/metadata has been tidied up. They use that same field to show books they've read. I'm about to remove their current library and replace it with my latest backup. Before I start I plan to download a CSV catalogue of their library including the "Done" field so there is a record of the books they've read. Once I've restored my library to their laptop and deleted everything in the "Done" column the next job is repopulate that field with TRUE for the books they've read. Clearly this can be done manually from the CSV catalogue but is it possible to automate this somehow by bulk updating the field using the data in the CSV file and, is so, how do I do it please? Many thanks in advance Kewa |

Have you looked at Import List (plugin): CSV file (the fields button)?
