PRS-T1 locks up when USB is connected
Have a PRS-T1, and it's firmware is in a bit of a mess. if I connect a USB, it locks up solid. I can copy the PRS-T1 Updater.package to the SD card, but no way to apply it. (1.07), as that is what the version reports.
Anyone know a trick to get the updater package to the READER partition, when I can't use the USB port? I'm hoping that a reapply of the firmware will fix the issue. |

Have you tried different USB cables, different USB ports, or a different computer?

I'm hoping there is a way to run a script from the SD card that mounts the internal data partition and copies the update from the SD Card. Or perhaps some other way of applying the full Sony update, without a functional USB Last edited by VimFuego; Today at 03:28 AM. |

There is a alot of noise and nonsense, wanna-be experts, and just those who skim read and post to get their post counts up.
Despite this, I finally got my PRS-T1 back to fully functional state, with working USB and Wifi using this genuinely helpful post, from a genuinely smart user, who took the time to detail the steps properly. https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...4&postcount=18 For this, you are going to need a couple of external files, some of which are quite hard to come by, with many broken links, and dead websites. I have shared the versions I eventually found The main 2 are: RuporRescue: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/1i7o2...=veo8f5zs&dl=0 Sony original firmware (EU): https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/gnu0q...=7k9iembi&dl=0 |

Also, for repairing the file system, there are some broken links and missing info:
A working download link for e2fsck ARMHF Static Linked: https://packages.debian.org/sid/armh...tatic/download I did have to create a config file to allow it to scan whilst on battery. (source: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic....546331#p546331) Code:
sudo sh -c 'echo -e "[options]\n allow_cancellation = 1\n defer_check_on_battery = 0" > /etc/e2fsck.conf' |
