Verifying that this is true concerning collections...

I have searched the web and these forums. I consider information in this forum to be the most accurate usually. Anyway, I have latest version of Calibre and KOReader.
In Calibre I have books with tags indicating the collection(s) they belong in.

When I send books to device (while not in KOReader but have tried within KOReader) and I go into KOReader the books are not in any collections and there are no collections listed in KOReader.

I saw a post here that says that getting Calibre tags (collections) into KOReader is not possible which seems to be the case.

Can any KOReader expert confirm that the only way to get your books into collections within KOReader is the create the collections within KOReader and then add each book one by one?

Thanks

Concerning your last question here is what I did using a nightly version: I created a filtered epub collection and added all epubs into the collection in one fell swoop. When adding new epubs to the device they are automatically added to that collection. I do have to page through the collection for the actual covers to replace the placeholder covers. I did not have to go one by one.

Instead of "paging through" you can tap the Plus (upper right) icon in the file browser and choose Extract and cache book information.

Thanks. I’ll do that from now on. I find this is a very useful new KOReader function.
