Help with Installing Go6 Firmware on Poke6 for Syncing with Go10.3 (macOS User)

Hello everyone,

I’m currently using a Poke6 and I want to install the Go6 firmware on it so that I can sync my reading progress between my Poke6 and Go10.3 devices. I’m on macOS and have tried installing ADL, but something seems to have gone wrong because ADL doesn’t run properly.

Could anyone please guide me step-by-step on how to install it correctly? My device is still completely original and not rooted, and I don’t want to root it.

I'm not a macOS user, and don't know what ADL is. If you meant ADB instead of ADL, install platform tools from https://developer.android.com/tools/...platform-tools

If you want ADL and not ADB, disregard.

Yeah, if you only have a Mac, then you'll have to use the bkerler EDL client. Google it.

my Terminal said no such file or directory for lpoke6.bin when i try edl lpoke6.bin
I could not found lpoke6.bin anywhere in my Mac

Each EDL client has a slightly different syntax for commands.
"/lpoke6.bin" is my syntax for the loader file "poke6.bin".

Python EDL uses "--loader=poke6.bin.

You can find that file at https://www.temblast.com/ref/onyxldr.htm

After I copied poke6.bin into the edl folder, I ran the command edl --loader=poke6.bin from the terminal, but the command still hangs as before.

Unfortunately that is a very stupid piece of software.
It's hard to tell what is going on.
I don't know about getting it to work on Macs.
It might need permission or udev or something.

Don't you have a Windows machine somewhere?
Even Linux is better than Mac.
