Kobo Clara HD screen stuck help please!

Hello everyone!
My Kobo Clara HD screen is stuck on this booting screen with the power button crossed out. I have tried everything -

The first time it appeared and got stuck, I kept the reader on charge and tried powering it up again nothing happened.

After reading up online, it seems like the microSD card inside has been corrupted, which turned out to be true as I had inserted the card in the laptop, and it came up mentioning it has been corrupted. At the same time, the screen is still stuck on this.

I disconnected the battery and the screen, but still, the screen is stuck on this.

I tried flashing the .img file onto a new microSD card, which was done successfully, then tried booting up, but again, no luck.

Would greatly appreciate help to make this work again :')

An eInk screen is bistable. Once it is written, it stays written without needing any power. That the image does not change at all suggests your Clara HD is having a hardware issue which is very unlikely to be worth repairing.

Isn't it possible that the image file itself you flashed to the new card was also corrupted because of the broken microSD card?

As the OP mentioned, they used a new µSD card. The image file was one I supplied. It is possible that the µSD card they used had existing issues. To check that, you can use the SD Card Association's SD Memory Card Formatter for Windows/Mac and it's Overwrite format mode which will rewrite the entire writable storage on the card and report any errors that occur.
