How to keep a minimal level of brightness ?

Hello
I use Koreader on a Kobo Libra2.
Quite regularly, when I open my reader in the dark, late in the evening, the screen is dark because the brightness level has been reduced to zero.
It's quite difficult in the dark to rise the level and I've to switch on the room light.

I've tried to change several settings to keep at anytime a minimal level of brightness of the frontlighnt. I've desactived the night mode features, the automatic dimmer,...
But I still get this annoyance.

change this part of the code on your device from 0 to 1 (or what you want).

That doesn't really explain why the frontlight level would change on its own, unless OP was unclear.

(i.e. the only thing that would do that, IIRC, would be a couple of frontlight related plugins, which you'd have to actively setup for them to do anything).

I 've no pluging on my Koreader. and I 'm not very keen to change the code. Will this change be kept or erased with the next update ?
I've also disabled any gesture which modify the screen lights.
I'll try to better understand how it happens

Change will be overwritten with the update.

Set a gesture (one swipe finger) to move the brightness easily meanwhile.

Thank you, I've set such a gesture with an increase of 10. It will help.

Vertical swipe on the left border of the screen is a default gesture for brightness, FWIW.

Yes I know that, but from time to time for a reason I've not yet found, the brigthness goes to zero. I get a cover on my Kobo Libra2

This function would be very useful because it would allow you to turn the lighting on or off without changing the previously set value. Not even the Kindle software seems to have this trivial function (one of the few things I regret about my Tolino is the physical lighting button).

I noticed that touching the bottom left corner turns the lighting on/off without changing the set value. I used a nightly version of Koreader, so it's also possible that this change was introduced as a result of your request.

No, this is one of the default “gestures” in KOReader.

Go to Top menu - Gear - Taps and gestures - Gestures manager.

Then familiarize yourself with a whole bunch of “gestures”: some of the are taps, some of them are swipes.

You can choose any action of any of them.
