just experienced a suddenly drain issue--elipsa is fully charged and just finished sideloading 2k books. before elipsa screen finishing import after disconnected with USB, elipsa suddenly shut down and asking for charging battery. after connecting to USB, it booted up immediately with fully charged battery sign. not sure if it's software bug or hardware issue
i saw someone complained this from search:https://www.reddit.com/r/kobo/commen...sa_background/

update: returned first one and bought another, same issue. returned second one and bought third one which has earliest serial number. this earliest manufactured one has no such issue.

no, but I noticed that the battery goes pretty fast compared to my kindle keyboard 3. I read manga on kobo elipsa so I have no backlit and no wi-fi. some say that sleep cover hurts battery life but idk.

After one year of usage; I need to charge every 3 weeks, reading 20-30minutes a day, dark mode on, no wifi or BT. So around 7-8 hours, not much more than that.

If anything like the Sage it may improve after it installs updates the first few weeks of ownership. The battery on my Sage sucked. Dead in 24-48 hrs now I seem to no longer have the problem. It took about 2 months to fully update. i ordered the elipsa it comes in tomorrow so i will see i suppose
