Hi!
I'm well aware that I'm necroposting here, but, then again, my Kobo Aura 2 is definitely Jurassic by any measure, so this is the perfect place to post... First of all — thanks, @Kiwisaurus, assuming you're still around: your factory reset thingy seems to have worked. I think. At least, I did get the "black screen of restoring" — the first time, after weeks of frustration, that anything showed me that the Kobo had still some circuits operational! — and it was doing "something". But after a while, I only get the picture below: <removed large image and converted to jpg and attached DNSB> What exactly is this supposed to mean? What should my next steps be? I do have the Kobo Aura connected to power (but hardly any idea if it's charging or not). Does this screen mean that I should press the power button next? And for how long? I tried to just briefly touch it to see if any magic happened, but no — it seems to be content in just displaying that picture for all eternity, and that's it. I'm sure I'm missing something absurdly simple, or, otherwise, you would certainly mention this screen... Last edited by DNSB; Yesterday at 08:45 PM. Reason: OP: typos grrr DNSB: converted image to attachment |

Well, I might have been a bit premature in my comments...
It seems it was really just a question of making sure that I didn't have a loose connection between the Kobo and the power cable! Thanks so much, @David! Last edited by Gwyneth Llewelyn; Today at 03:28 AM. Reason: added reference to David |
