New release to version 3.1.0
On that last bullet, for Chinese language books, the Apple Books Asset Guide (https://help.apple.com/itc/booksassetguide) Epub3 Languages section added a requirement to specify the script as either simplified (zh-Hans) or traditional (zh-Hant). Previously the plugin code only added the region (e.g. TW, CN, HK) field to the tag attribute. |

Thank you very much for developing this very useful plugin. I had been using it with excellent results.
Lately, I have moved over from window to Mac IOS, and after I installed the plugin to calibre, I cannot find the button to action the conversion inside edit. Is there any settings I need to adjust for the plugin to be used? |

I don't think the plugin shortcut button is being automatically added to the plugin toolbar. To check if it is added:
Edit Book|Preferences...|Toolbars|Book wide tools from third party plugins Make sure the plugin icon "文" is in the right side "Current Actions" panel. If it is, try removing it and then adding it back in. Also make sure the plugin toolbar is being displayed: View|Toolbars|Plugins tool bar There is an open Github issue on this for the plugin: https://github.com/Hopkins1/TradSimpChinese/issues/25 |

Input Locale and Output Locale
Hello Hoppkins,
Not sure what is the purpose of Language style. If I prefer simple S2T.json 的士>的士,计程车>計程車,出租车>出租車 what should I picked. I tried "Simplified to Traiditional" Input: "Mainland China" Output: "Mainland China" Not tick "Use output target phrases if possible 吃>喫 Thanks |

The plugin uses the conversion tables from the OpenCC project. It looks like they prefer to convert 吃 into 喫 when converting to Traditional Chinese.
s2t.json uses the "STPhrases.txt" dictionary to look for common 2+ character strings. If no match is found, it then falls back to using the "STCharacters.txt" dictionary for single characters. Both of these dictionaries prefer 喫 for the traditional variant. To be fair, I've seen both variants used in mainland published books written in the 1920's and 1930's. OpenCC provides a test page to quickly see how each setting works. Since there is no such thing as a Mainland Traditional Chinese standard, they refer to it as "OpenCC標準". To minimize confusion, I've called it "Mainland China" in the plugin. What can be done? You could edit the plugin's "STPhrases.txt" and "STCharacters.txt" files to match your preferred conversions. The first column in each files list the existing character(s) and the next column list the target characters(s). If more than 1 target column exists, then there are multiple choices. The first target column is chosen by default. |
