Yep, discovered this about 3 seconds after I posted. Thank you for confirming.
I just wrote a script that pulls the first page from every djvu file and saves it as cover.jpg next to the file and ran it on my djvu calibre library, worked like a treat - now I have nice covers for all the djvu books I have.
