If this comes to pass then yes they will be closing the first HQ at some point. They might promise the state to keep it open for a certain number of years, but during those years they will be laying off the staff at least twice a year until they can close it up for good.

And their concept of highly paid will be just a little bit more then the average salary others are being paid in similar positions.

Then those people will find themselves stuck at that salary for as long as they are there.

Don't believe for one second that Amazon is interested in improving anyone's wages.
