Just want to thank everyone for your help. Much appreciated. Will take a bit of advice from everyone: wait for CES, then if nothing better is announced, bring an SD card loaded with the NY Times to a Sony Style store, and try reading/skimming on the PRS-700 and -505, and also try using titles and links rather than paging on the 505.
