The problem with ebooks, is that you don't have the critical mass that is chipping away at DRM in the music industry.

Book piracy just hasn't hurt the book industry the same way piracy has hurt the music industry. Without getting into a long debate, piracy of music is happening because music is over-priced and is riddled with DRM. That makes pirated tracks attractive to good people who would be willing to spend a reasonable amount of money on an un-DRMed track.

I just don't see these same pressures on the book industry.

What forces are out there to prompt publishers from un-DRMing ebooks if the vast majority of people who don't like DRM still buy the print versions?
