The output is black&white by default imho and the pages can be trimmed with the -m(...) commands. Usage is:
k2pdfopt -ml 0.2 -mt 0.3 -mr 0.4 -mb 0.5
this will ignore a margin of 0.2 inches on the left, 0.3 in on the top, 0.4 on the right and 0.5 on the bottom of the page.
The brightness can be adjusted with the gamma command -g
k2pdfopt -g 0.3
