no; it is not a script. it is an elf executable (like launchpad or kiterm).
the way you run it is you extract the file (sspopartsq) into a folder on you kindle.
see this post for details.
if you extracted the binary to, say, the system folder on your kindle, you would want to add a line to your launchpad ini that says:
/mnt/us/system/sspopartsq
then you just enter the hotkey sequence you associated with the application and it will run.
when you switch your kindle off or it goes to screensaver, you will see pop art squares render over whatever screensaver image you have on your kindle.
when you wake it up, the squares will disappear.
to stop this from happening, just enter the hotkey sequence again to disable the screensaver.
