I just now tried moving all partitions to before the empty padding at the beginning and it has changed from flashing white light to static white light.
Could the slimming process have fucked around with maybe some kind of hard-coded size (idk, something along the lines of "boot partition should be X big so at value Y you will always find the recovery" or something?)
