That said, I *think* setting it to 0 has the intended effect, and we at least don't magically make a field disappear [although, yeah, granted, it'd only pop up in the opf, I think]

EDIT: If the fields are scrapped, well, they're scrapped, it doesn't blow up either, but, well, we lose them

(no StartOffset anymore, probably not a big deal, but we do lose the cover thumbnail, and the cover image is not flagged as the cover in the OPF).
