Here is an epub version of one of the books in the Dr. Nikola omnibus previously presented in mobi/prc to MobilRead in Sept. 2007 by Harry T.
Guy Boothby (1867 - 1905) was born in Adelaide, Australia. His first book was published in 1894 and in the same year he moved to Britain where he wrote over 40 books in his remaining years. The present book, 'Dr. Nikola's Vendetta' ('A Bid For Fortune' or 'Enter Dr. Nikola') was the beginning of a 5 book series with the master criminal Dr. Nikola; the material was first presented as an eight part story in Windsor Magazine in 1895. Dr. Nikola is reminiscent of Sax Rohmer's Fu Manchu, although the he appeared in print more than 15 years before Fu Manchu.
I've used the text from Project Gutenberg, and the images from Google Book's image pdf of 1895. The 1895 book version is profusely illustrated, but I chose only 15 images for inclusion in the ebook.
