Actually, you said hip and young. I don't assume about the demographic group of iPad; I don't know anything about them beyond the stats. As I mentioned, I see plenty of middle-aged non-hipsters with iPods and iPhones, so it makes me doubt the stereotype. Apple's image-building is not necessarily reality. I tend toward skepticism on marketing alone. I also haven't watched TV in years, so I'm exposed to much less advertising than most people. I tend to look to what I see in real life and read.
