Auto-loaded apps on Kindle Fire

Hi everyone, I hope someone can help me with this little problem. Possibly not a problem at all, but I am new to Android devices.
It all started when I installed several apps on my new Kindle Fire 2, among them, a task manager. This task manager shows that about 10 apps are automatically loaded on startup, and whenever I try to end those tasks, they randomly start themselves again. Not all of them, but, for example, VPlayer or OfficeSuite appear again when I check later. Also, Amazon mp3 and Audible stay in memory almost all of the time. Performance right after startup is sluggish with jerky scrolling. Also the bottom part of my Kindle seems to heat up unless I end the autoloaded tasks manually. Is this normal behavior and what can I do to reduce the number of auto-loaded tasks?
