Good point.
A big part of the problem indie authors are facing now is that there are not only more books out there than we can read, there are more books than we can even realistically evaluate. We readers are drowning in riches. Not that it's a bad thing for us, of course, but it's a struggle for the writers to get any given one of us to look at
their book instead of the next one on the list of hundreds. The $2x book in a sea of $x books probably isn't even going to get a second glance.
