Depends. If it's a big update, you might as well recreate it. If it's a few updates here and there, don't bother.

Of course, if you generally have a limited Internet connection, then you would want to recreate it every time you downloaded a significant number of updates.

BUT, be careful! You want to be able to return your machine to a pristine, like-new state. Not a machine that is loaded down with junk Windows might install.
