Thanks for the insight, HistoryWes. It would be interesting to hear some citation from Apple or elsewhere as to what the "normal" depletion should be at this point.

Edited To Add: I use mine on and off over the course of 17 - 18 waking hours. There still seems to be hardly any drain during standby time, though.
