Congratulations! Just got mine recently too. I also noticed faint menu during initial charge-up, but don't think about it anymore because no ghosting is visible when reading or using other functions.
BTW, be sure to protect your screen from accidental damage--especially if you don't have the extended warranty with coverage for accidental damage. I'm planning to buy a Tuff-Luv cover and hardshell case. Meanwhile, I keep it stored display-side down inside the original cardboard container when not in use.
