The following procedures work for me - perhaps those familiar with CC might suggest how they can be streamlined.

Open calibre and Nexus
- On calibre click Connect/share>start wireless device connection>OK
- On Nexus open CC>connect>as Wireless Device - the Device column opens on the left edge of the calibre window
- On calibre select ebook>click Send to Device - repeat for each ebook to be sent to Nexus
- On Nexus select Disconnect
- On calibre click Connect/share>Stop wireless device connection
- On Nexus/CC you should see a list of the downloaded ebooks. Select an ebook by touching its cover. The Book Details window will open. Touch Read, and a window will open showing Successful download. Select close, Go to Library, or Read.
