That feels about right. We were discussing earlier how the iPad share was consistently reported somewhere between 65% and 70% this year over the first two quarters, but that the impact of the Google Nexus 7 hadn't really been felt yet. Also, we know that Samsung tablet sales have been accelerating, pulling well ahead of Amazon overall.

So, with a recent push from Google and Samsung we could certainly have seen the most recent figures for activations have taken another 5% to 10% bite out of the iPad, bringing Android overall, including Kindle and Nook, to about 40% of the market.
