Connecting with 64-bit vs 32-bit Windows

I downgraded to Calibre 4.23 64-bit on Windows 10 in order to be able to use the DRM plugin. I'm using CC 5.4.4.19 (410) with Android 11 on both my phone and tablet. I don't recall, unfortunately whether my original Calibre 5.5 was 64-bit or 32-bit.

While there was no problem with connecting to Content Server or Wireless with Windows Calibre, I could not connect with CC on either of my devices. The server could not be detected, even though it was running.

Troubleshooting:

1. I made sure that one portable device was turned off so there was no conflict.
2. The IP address on the computer showed 192.168.1.116 while the IP address on the portable devices showed 192.168.1.127. I tried changing these in the IP address and port in the port section of the Wireless device connection section of the settings, using a different port 9090.
3. I tried various other troubleshooting actions such as changing the IP address and port or URL in the content server section.

I installed Calibre 4.23 32-bit on Windows and then CC connected immediately without any problems, using the altered settings (Content server IP address and port or URL set to Automatic, while IP address and port in the Wireless device connect section set to http://192.168.1.116 Port 9090.

Is there an incompatibility problem with Windows-64 bit Calibre and CC?
