Der Suchmachinist tat dies, obwohl Nutzer des Surfprogramms es in den Einstellungen untersagt hatten. Es ist die höchste Geldstrafe, welche die FTC jemals verhängt hat. Apple und Google lieferten bisher keine Stellungnahme.
