Unhappy I stepped on my kindle touch (2019)... now the screen doesn't work.

Hi, I have a Kindle Basic 3 / KT4, G0910L.
I'm at FW 5.11.1.

I think I might have stepped on my kindle, near the top of the display, face up. On the bezel, not the screen, but I think there's a bit of screen under that.

There is no visible damage (inside or outside, did not unscrew PCB), I disconnected the battery and reconnected it, restarted the kindle and also charged it to 100% (green LED).

My kindle was jailbroken. I managed to enter my pin blind and backed up all my files.

Is there really any hope for my device now? Any way to make the screen work? Maybe see what's wrong?

When I stepped on it I definitely heard a small crack, but I see nothing indicative of damage on the screen.

Pretty sure this thing is out of warranty, otherwise I'd send it back for a new one... assuming amazon complies.
