I think they call it "experimental" in the same way Google had a habit of calling its products "bèta", in the past. You can use it, and it probably works as intended, but IF it comes crashing down, the company can say:
"Sorry... but that feature is experimental / bèta. If it works, fine. If it doesn't, tough luck."
That way, they don't need to officially support it.
