Yes, it does remember where you left off. This works really well and reliably, even if you change firmware. But (with my current firmware at least), the total page count on mobi files is often off, and jumping 10 pages ahead or back gives incorrect results. If you read a book from beginning to end (which I usually do) there is no problem whatsoever.
