There is a success report for 64-bit win7 in the simple debricking first post. Look for "64-bit win 7" or something similar (it is a recent one near the bottom). Either get details from that post and the ones before it. Part of the key is rebooting and telling win7 to allow unsigned drivers.

Personally, I run XP in a virtualbox VM and it works fine.
