Those of us who bought from other companies should be able to get the fixed version by a re-download, as I know of no other company that maintains a database of old versions and tracks which one you purchased so they can lock you into it forever.
Has Amazon themselves issued a statement that you'll be able to get an updated version? Or just the publisher?
