Another way is to make an html file and use Calibre to convert it to an ePub.
Since I've had a PRS, I've been making a few eBooks and find html->ePubs nicer when I want a table of Contents/ jump links.
I don't have a PC or use Word but I'm fairly sure it will save a doc as an html resource which Calibre can then play with.
