I'm not a techie so I don't know if it would mater but manual says to format as FAT 32, which I did. Also recommends SanDisk and Transcend cards. Doesn't state a class, I can't imagine speed maters that much. The SanDisk 2 GB I use is just something I had laying around from three or four years ago. No problems.
