Also installed the Energy System firmware, and even though I have to test the battery usage (i have just tried it for a few hours) I can already say this is a much more polished firmware (few more options and google play, drive and gmail already installed) and I do notice an improvement in responsiveness!

Also confirmed that it has a different kernel version.

EDIT: I am missing the "hide status bar" functionality from the Boyue firmware. Does anyone know a solution for this?
