The location depends on the operating system. The easiest way to display it is to use the special Windows folder names and enter them in the Run dialog, which you display by pressing
Windows+R:
Simply copy and paste the following folder names and press Enter:
Windows Vista or higher:
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local
Windows XP:
%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data
This should display the folder:
C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local
which Sigil uses to create the
sigil-ebook folder.
Sigil also writes to the temp folder, which can be displayed by entering
%Temp% in the Run dialog. Try emptying it before uninstalling and reinstalling Sigil.
Note that Sigil might take a while to open, if you try to open large ePubs with it that contain a single .html file.
