Index missing in epub to Kindle conversion

Kindle documents may contain indexes. This is effected by entries like:
Code:
<idx:entry><idx:orth value="lk 1 2"/> ... </idx:entry>
in the originating e-pub file.

When converted with Kindlegen converter, the resulting .mobi book will have an Index. Ie.: when viewing the book in Kindle and you go to "Menu", a new option appears, "Index" (between "Sync to Furthest Page Read" and "Book Description") - when you select it, you can go to the locations indexed as specified above.

When you convert the e-pub with Calibre, this is lost.

Attached files demonstrate this:
43LUKNSL_tst2.epub - the originating e-pub file with a sample of seven index entries near the beginning of the text

43LUKNSL_tst2.mobi - this file converted with Kindlegen 1.2. Viewed in Kindle (but NOT in the Amazon's Kindle Previewer!!!), there is the Index with 7 clickable entries: "lk 1 1", "lk 1 2" etc.

Zivljenje z Jezusom_tst2 - Luka.mobi - the above .epub file converted with Calibre 0.9.1 - Index is lost
