I'm delighted with mine as a reader, apart from the weight. I'll probably keep my Sony 600, if only for sunny outdoor reading, but this is the way forward for me.
Can't get excited about iBooks vs Kindle app - they both work for me. IBooks plays very well with my epubs.
BTW, the iPad is also excellent for reading PDFs. I use Goodreader, love it
