If it's a classic from Feedbooks, it's DRM-free, and therefore easy to fix.
An ePUB is just a zip file with some special files inside, and the main text is (X)HTML. So you can just unzip it, correct it, and zip again. If you correct only the text and do not deal with the HTML markup, the format will be maintained. To avoid possible problems, better replace the new corrected file inside the old zip, rather than create a new zip from scratch.
