After more than a year of hassle and endless emails Barnes & Noble officially sent an email today confessing that a major bug in the Nook system was always intentional but they wouldn't admit it until now. It was designed so that the 'shelf' system would refuse to hold ANY ebook that was not a B&N or B&N-purchased ebook. Once again, the corporate big wigs know what's best for us.
